About kim
We envision a future where LLMs work with humans to deliver great customer service.
Our Philosophy
At kim.cc, we're driven by a vision of the future of customer support where AI will do all the work, vetted by humans. This approach is analogous to the transformative era of industrial automation, where machines performed labor-intensive tasks under human supervision.
Tasks that challenged humans, such as heavy lifting, became effortless for machines, while tasks requiring precision, like aligning components, continued to require human finesse. This partnership between humans and machines led to significant advances in productivity and consistent quality across industries.
Traditionally, technology has been a tool directed by humans, but the new paradigm will see AI as a coworker, invoking human assistance as needed. It will be AI working with humans.
The Future of Customer Service Work
We can see that AI will democratize access to customer service skills, and even a housewife sitting in a remote village somewhere in Zuluk can answer customer support inquiries without excelling in the English language, and work for an e-commerce brand in California.
It will mean a 5x jump in productivity; and with customer service becoming more affordable, more small and growing brands will be able to offer 24/7 support. It might lead to short-term supply pressure, but in the long run, more and more small businesses will be able to compete with the likes of Amazon in offering great customer service.
Our Mission
This is the mission we are on - to make great customer service accessible to small and growing brands. kim.cc was started by founders from IIT - who had run an e-commerce venture themselves - we experienced firsthand the challenges of setting up customer support.
A promotional spike once increased our order volumes dramatically, causing a 20-fold rise in customer inquiries and plummeting our Play Store rating from 4.8* to 3*. Despite efforts, we could only improve it to 3.9* over four years. This critical lesson showed us the importance of customer service, in the make or break of a business.
Post that, we built & managed a customer support platform for one of the largest e-commerce companies, that handled 1M+ weekly inquiries, and saw what enterprise grade-customer service looks like. Inspired by this, we started on this mission to make great customer service accessible to small and growing businesses.
